Anne van de Schaft (1998) studied at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Antwerp.

Nature is her studio. Her work is created outside, surrounded by the wind, the light and the scent of the earth. As a painter she seeks a direct connection with the landscape.

'By being present, looking and feeling, I paint while the landscape around me lives and changes'.

Her canvases capture not only what she sees but also what she experiences at that moment. The threat of an oncoming shower, the warmth of the sun on her hands, or the tranquility of a misty morning. Painting outdoors creates a direct dialogue between her and the landscape. Every brushstroke is a response to the moment itself. She works with expressive brushwork and layered colors, not trying to copy the landscape but rather trying to capture its soul.

Her work is a tribute to the transience of nature and the power of the moment. By painting outdoors, she hopes to invite the viewer to reflect on the landscape, not just as a backdrop, but as a living presence that touches and shapes us.
